Boost Your Immune System and Knock Out a Sinus Infection

There is nothing worse than starting a fantastic trip only to find out you have signs of allergy/sinus issues that eventually turn into an infection. This is what happened to me lately and practically ruined the first half of my trip (even after a visit to the doctor).
I found myself in Europe, in bed and on the computer researching what in the hell I could do for this nasal annoyance. I found Earth Clinic to be most helpful. I like how they list remedies where the users either agree or disagree with it’s effectiveness, reading their comments can lead you to a comfortable decision.
Although I don’t love the taste of vinegar I saw that ACV was one of the top “yeahs” on the site for stopping mucous invasion. I sucked it down with water that day along with Oregano Oil. I’ve read a lot of different opinions on the oil, mostly good so I decided to go with it. We’ve got anti-microbial, anti-fungal, antibiotic and antiparasitic properties. The bottle I purchased asked for 4 drops in a 1/2 c. of water. The stuff smells horrible but tastes like nothing.
I took both vinegar and oil early in the day and by late evening I was feeling almost 100% better. Most notable was my increase in energy. There is a lot of walking in Europe and needless to say I was struggling a bit, by morning my body had finally woken up. I would take the oil only once a day but drank the vinegar with a lot of water.
I know of the speculation with the oil and it’s use in excess. Apparently it can do funny things to the liver, kidneys and nervous system and also reduce the absorption of iron, bad for women especially. So I myself wouldn’t take this every day, only when needed. This may worry you but don’t let it, most remedies whether natural or lab created are not beneficial when taken too much. I once was taking an Rx for something when I was younger and one of the side effects was vomit the color of ground coffee…didn’t stop me though
The vinegar is pretty harmless so I would take that as often as you need but I wouldn’t take the oil past a couple of weeks (just my opinion). Always, always, always do your research and look for side-effects or if you have a more serious underlying condition make sure these two items do not interfere. If anything persists hit up your family docta.
Oh! Make sure your diet is also in check and that you give your body and mind plenty of rest.

I’ve been given oregano oil by a few people as a ‘miracle cure’, but although I love oregano as a herb, I just can’t stand the smell of the oil, I’ve never managed to swallow it so I can’t vouch for its effectiveness.

@ Golly,
I completely understand. Not only did I have to suffer the smell and taste of ACV but also the Oregano Oil. Although the oregano oil tastes fine. I would rather go through a couple minutes of bad taste than be sick
