Alba Botanical Shave Cream: So Smooth and So Green, Green!

Usually when I tackle a leg shaving session I just grab anything in the shower.  I’m quite aware that I may be the only woman on the planet who still shaves vs. waxing but for me it works.  I’ve been known to use soap, lotion or men’s shave gel.  My skin is really sensitive so I often get razor bumps from using any of the above products (big surprise).  So after my grocery trip last week I picked up alba moisturizing cream.  The coconut/lime has such a yummy aroma, I still can’t place my finger on what childhood scent it reminds me of or maybe a holiday?

At first I used too much which is soooo me considering how much foamy gel I would use.  Even on the tube they note that using this product sparingly is recommended.  The whole experience was really bazaar.  It was like shaving with nothing but after finishing my legs felt smooth and I had no irritation, very sensitive skin friendly.  It’s different from what I’m used to but I likes it.

On top of liking the product I also really adore the company.  Alba was founded in 1989 and is a part of the Avalon Natural Products family.   For being such a huge provider of body stuff they also take on some big earthly responsibilities.  A big one for me is their solar powered warehouse and office.

They also practice Reduce, Reuse & Recycle and have increased the working of organic farms due to their choice of using organically grown ingredients.  When it comes to their employees, twenty-eight percent of them are involved in volunteer work (community, non-profit org. & tree planting).

The shave cream is also 100% vegetarian, free of animal testing and without parabens.  Some of the key ingredients are coconut oil, jojoba oil and vitamin E.  I see alba and my legs becoming great bff’s!
